Mum, we said our final farewells to your physical being on Monday the 13th and I find it hard to comprehend you are not still around. Loss can be all encompassing and I am sure this will lessen with time but at the moment my feelings are as raw as the knees you patched up and as deep as the cuts I got from "just being a boy". I loved you more than I could ever say and the void left behind is almost visible. You will always be in my heart, my thoughts and prayers and I hope there is "more to life than this" as this at least gives me hope that our paths will cross again and I can make up for lost time.
